El Cielo is an ecological crossroads where North American species mix with South American species.
And in regards to the plant species found there, this mix is truly spectacular and fairly unique. Many
species found in Florida, Tennessee, and even Oklahoma are common in El Cielo, and they are found
right along the side of plants common to Belize, Costa Rica, or even Brazil.
